As a Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) certified Open Water Diver, dive professionals worldwide will recognize you as having the training to safely plan and enjoy your dives to depths of 60' without a Divemaster present.

For the academic (non-pool/lecture portion) of the course, Great Pacific Diving now offers the choice of traditional classroom, or eLearning.

Divers choosing the classroom option will be loaned** a pre-session PADI DVD. Used in conjunction with the fully-included Student Kit, the DVD delivers a leisurely, no pressure, at-home learning introduction. Participants will then enjoy a series of group-environment classroom discussions, followed by pool and ocean training.

For the eLearners, the academics are covered through a PADI on-line interactive web learning site. Once the eLearning is completed, you can complete your certification training by taking the pool-and ocean completion sessions...Too Easy! Note that eLearners pay a separate tuition directly to PADI, and the completion tuition to Great Pacific. Please also note that the E-Learner option is a premium choice, and fees paid directly to PADI in-addtion to those to Great Pacific Diving will be more than the non E-Learner option.

Your adventure will include:

• 5 pool dives & knowledge development modules (eLearners complete the knowlege development modules on their own time and at their own pace)
• 4 exciting ocean dives!
• PADI Open Water Diver Certification upon successful completion
  

All Great Pacific Diving Courses include a PADI Electronic Recreational Dive Planner at no additional cost! Another advantage in taking your diving training with the Industry Leader!!

Training locations:

• eLearning is done wherever you have access to a computer and the Internet!
• Classroom and pool training is done at our private facility in North Langley (Just-off Hwy #1)
• Ocean dives are normally conducted in Howe Sound, or if you like, on one of our tropical adventures to Cozumel, the Red Sea or other exotic locations!

Important fine print:

• Minimum age for the adult Open Water course is 15. Pariticpants under 19 years of age will require a parent or guardian's approval
• All participants (or a parent/guardian as appropriate) must sign a waiver
• You should be comfortable around water and know how to swim
• A self-assessment medical statement must be completed prior to training. Certain medical conditions may require the authorization of your doctor, or may prevent you from participating in diving
• Courses are non-refundable once scheduled, except when a physician recommends against participation in diving

You need to be fully equipped for your diving adventure. Great Pacific Diving offers the most comprehensive kits anywhere - all included with your course fees!

Both E-Learner and Classroom Student Kits include PADI Openwater Certification, the PADI Electronic RDP Calculator, a PADI Logbook, and all your rental gear for the pool and ocean sessions. The Classroom Student Kit also includes a textbook and the complimentary loan** of the PADI Openwater DVD
