Great Pacific is the choice in watersports excellence, with highlights that include:
- 1987: Introduced All-Inclusive training to the Fraser Valley.
- 1989: The first dive store in the Lower Mainland to integrate dive computers in our training syllabus
- 1992: Established our Private Training Centre and Pool
- 1994: Integrated 100% soft weight systems into all training
- 1996: Became a 5-Star Instructor Development Centre
- 1998: Wide deployment of drysuits for use in training
- 2002: Weight integrated Bouyancy Compensators phase-in on rental line
- 2003: Establised the most comprehensive Student Kit as part of the standard course offering
- 2004: Introduced Diver Propulsion Vehicles for training and rentals
- 2007: Upgraded our comprehensive Student Kit to include a free Electronic Recreational Dive Planner
- 2009: Launched a free drysuit rental service for those signing-up for both Openwater and Advanced classes
- 2010: Full integration of eLearning options for Openwater and Advanced training
- 2011: Tripled the size of our training programme to where GPD is now among the top PADI training schools in Canada! PADI awards Great Pacific for "Excellence in Diver Acquisition" November, 2011.

Come to our free Dive Beyond/Go Pro Seminar, for a fun evening, where we will be presenting information about what’s involved with expanding your diving knowledge, skills and capabilities; for the curious, we will look at what’s involved with becoming a diving professional. We’ll explore the great opportunities for divers and dive professionals here and around the world, and how we can help those interested in getting more out of recreational diving, and how we can help those wanting to go "pro" best prepare for a rewarding full-time, or part-time career in the diving industry.
Participate in a presentation and question and answer session with Randolph H. Giles, the Regional Manager, for PADI Canada. With 35 years of diving and oversight of PADI Canada, Randy is an excellent resource for inquiring minds. Learn about present employment opportunities available in the dive industry. We will review our plans for continuing education courses, Pro Development and also be covering the PADI Instructor Development system. We will also be offering some excellent course and equipment packages to all who attend.
Again, there is no cost to attend, and no future obligations! All you will need to do is have fun!
